Qualifications: BA Hons Health & Social Care 2003, BA Hons Public Sector Management 2010,IHM Accredited Manager – Senior Level 2012, PRINCE2 Foundation – Project Management 2013.

Working week: All day, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday (mornings only).

I have worked in General Practice since 1989 and joined Wideopen Medical Centre in 2002. I am a member of the Institute of Healthcare Management (IHM) and the National Association of Primary Care (NAPC).

Part of my role is to provide financial and business advice to the partners for the development and implementation of the practice corporate strategy. I am also responsible for the management of practice staff, patient liaison and daily operations within the practice. They are usually the first point of contact on anything relating to the management of the GP contract and QOF, prescription management and IT functionality for the practice.

Call-handler / Administrators

The reception team are available to assist you Monday through Friday, from 8:45 am to 6:00 pm. As a liaison for patients with the practice, they can provide general information about practice services, and direct you to the appropriate person for your specific health concern or inquiry.

For most appointments with GPs and nurses, please contact the reception team directly, as they manage the majority of patient appointments. Additionally, the reception team can assist with repeat prescriptions and prescription-related questions.
